Focus On Our Young People
Today's youth are being pulled in many different directions. Most of the influences upon them are not good. Realizing this problem, we work hard to provide alternatives that will help them both spiritually as well as morally.
During the school months we participate in a Bible bowl competition with approximately ten other congregations in the Northeast Texas Area. The actual competitions take place on the second Monday night of each month.
During the summer months, our young people participate in Bible based summer camps and the Northeast Texas Summer Youth Series. We visit the different participating congregations on each first Monday night of the month. During these events we enjoy fellowship and association with other young people and hear a lesson targeting issues troubling our young people.
Locally, our young people enjoy their monthly youth devotionals.
An additional highlight is our Sunday and Wednesday Bible school program. We use the "Engraving Heavenly Truths" Bible class curriculum. Our students really enjoy participating in this course of study.
